Two Bays Farm is a boutique thoroughbred nursery on the Pristine Mornington Peninsula, purpose-built to cater for broodmares, foals, weanlings and yearlings.

The Farm

Two Bays Farm is set upon nearly 200 acres at Flinders on the Mornington Peninsula, a location, chosen for its fertile soils, temperate climate and undulating pastures – all ideal for healthy horse development. The farm backs onto Greens Bush, the largest remaining parcel of bushland on the Peninsula. The source of our name, the Two Bays walking track, a 26-kilometre bush corridor from Dromana on Port Phillip Bay to Bushrangers Bay near Cape Schanck, runs near the base of the farm.

A Healthy Farm

The Mornington Peninsula has some of Australia’s most fertile soil, a mild climate and reliable rainfall. Two Bays Farm follows biodynamic farming principles, building soil carbon and biology levels with no synthetic fertilizers being used. The farm is highly productive and its pastures are a key component of our horses’ nutrition and diet. We grow our foals out naturally, exercising them on the farm’s hills to foster tough and durable bones, tendons and muscles. Our horses receive individual attention from an experineced and dedicated team who have a thorough knowledge of every horse. This enables us to deliver the very best conditions and opportunities for each.

Quality Facilities

Our facilities are centred around a purpose built yearling barn, general stable block and manager’s office, the farm’s original barn and shearing shed. The farm offers twenty four modern stables, nine foaling paddocks with shelters, and several small enclosures where foals in their infancy are intensively managed, plus a new veterinary area and round yard. A further 20 larger paddocks – ranging from 0.25 acres to 25 acres – are equipped with horse shelters and fenced in horse rail or Equi Mesh, the safest and best horse fencing available. The large number of paddocks allows us to cater for horses at every stage of their development, as well as enabling regular rotation of horses to fresh pastures. All facilities have been developed with the comfort of the horse in mind and are placed in an environment where monitoring by staff is easy and comprehensive. Fresh water is abundant and supplied by two dams as well as pumped water from Main Creek, which forms the bottom boundary of the property.
